Time to take a stand... er, so to speak

While I generally have no argument with the practice of product placement, it should go without saying that there are some places that products just should not be placed.

"Target marketing" takes on a whole new meaning in the first-ever viral marketing use of an interactive urinal communicator in America. The deodorizing urinal drain filter cover -- featuring a waterproof anti-glare lenticular viewing display -- has a pre-recorded greeting by a woman that commands, "Don't miss OUTLAWS on CMT. You seem to miss everything else!" The CMT OUTLAWS 'Wizmark' has flashing lights and is motion-activated: step up to the urinal and the unit starts flashing, talking and alternating pictures.

So how long until we can say that CMT's circling the bowl?

Marketing has gone too far. Whatever happened to the good old days when you got a bulls-eye taget practice urinal deoderizer, or a saddam/Osama one? Guys have a hard enough time talking to each other at the stalls, we do not need the urinal talking back to us.

Perhaps they can get AL GORE to start marketing this. It would fit right in with his "waterless urinal" that he was touting a while ago.

Speaking of AL GORE (wow, great lead in to steal the thread...) anybody see his rant at Georgetown yesterday?
This guy has really snapped. I mean, really. He was sweating, had this real psyco killer look on his face and everything. And to think, that if Bush had not stolen the election this guy would have been president. Well, I say 'piss' on him.

I did catch a minute or so. He was as ranting and fuming as ever, but a bit less psychotic and foamy than usual. I agree: I'm glad my 2000 candidate lost.
